Assets -Local Self Government

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, development activities were implemented with a comprehensive vision, which successfully enabled the creation of public assets, as well as their maintenance and utilization for the benefit of the public. In the healthcare sector, the Family Health Centre in Chettuva, the Ayurvedic Hospital in Kundaliyur, and the Homeo Dispensary have brought revolutionary changes to the panchayat. In addition to these, there are also 3 well-functioning private hospitals in the panchayat.

In the field of animal husbandry, the Veterinary Dispensary, and in the agricultural sector, the Krishi Bhavan (Agricultural Office), render commendable services. There are 23 government-owned nurseries/daycare centers, 2 UP (Upper Primary) schools, and a pre-metric hostel operating in the panchayat. Furthermore, the aided and unaided sectors comprise 3 primary schools, 4 UP schools, 2 high schools, and 2 higher secondary schools.

Additionally, 5 mosques, 1 Christian church, and 6 temples are located within the grama panchayat. Under the jurisdiction of the grama panchayat, there are 104 km of roads, while the length of the National Highway passing through it is 5.8 km.

By utilizing resource pools from the People's Planning Plan allocation, Finance Commission grants, own funds, and the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), the grama panchayat creates new assets every year and remains deeply committed to maintaining existing ones in a manner that is highly beneficial to the public.
